Tieni Duro has an active calendar with both formal annual events like training camps, the Championship Criterium we host, and our awards auction. But we also have many informal gatherings such as BBQs, movie nights, post-ride burritos, and other fun activities both on the bike and off. Here is a listing of some of our calendared events:
Tieni Duro’s District Criterium Championship (Livermore) in May of each year:
–We host this race every year. It is the official NCNCA Junior State Championship.
There are always medals and great prizes for the top finishers in each event.
–We require help from parents and "friends of the team" as we have in past years. Please volunteer!
–Confirmed sponsor are: Hammer Nutrition Products, Sharp Bicycles in Lafayette, Robinson Wheel Works in San Leandro, and Panaracer North America.
Regular Sunday Training Rides
Regular Wednesday Afternoon Training Rides (daylight savings time, location varies)
Periodic “Unofficial Adventure Rides” (led by an experienced team member, mentor, or coach to Bay Area or Sierran locations such as Mt. Tam, Mines Road, Tunitas Creek, Ebbetts Pass, Donner Pass, etc)
Annual Health and Safety Training Day & Periodic updates
Annual Fall Skills Clinic including Group Riding Protocols & Practices
Spring Training Camp for all Riders & Families (Carmel Valley, CA, March)
Death Valley Leadership Camp (December each year, by coaches’ invitation only)
Annual Awards Dinner and Charity Auction (2 December 2011, Lafayette Memorial Building, 3780 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette CA)
