Hey, nobody came. Oh well, I had a good race. I got dropped by three minutes, because of the changed start time I had no time to warm up. I finally did warm up mid-way through the first lap and got those three minutes back (I know it was three min. because my dad was reading off the distance apart with a stop watch) By this time Collin and Blake were gone so I road with Cole for two minutes and attacked in the feed, I heald him off through the end of the second lap beat him by two and a half minutes and got third place. I'm happy with it and I think I worked pretty hard. I think I'll frame my five dollar winnings : )

Well I got a bit of a warm up and was feeling really good aside from the usual butterflies. We started the race with the neutral zone (Jason and I were j.k. that it was kinda fast for neutral) about six min in I shifted and the chain fell off. I jumped off the bike and fixed it with Jason K. comin up behind me cheering me on. I put it back on and took off down the hill chasing hard so I could reach them before they started really moving. I caught the group and put my head down for one second and when I did the race started, I had no time to catch my breath. I held on as long as I could but it didn't last. I was dropped about a mile later. J.P eventually came back as well. I mistakenly pushed to hard and when I looked back J.P was gone. I kept going till I discovered the crash from the womens race and the remaining riders from the fall. One was up ahead and as I passed she asked to work with me. I told her it was against rules but we could encourage eachother anyway. So we went on together motivating each other not to drop out (although it was very tempting) I went on and by the end of the first lap I ran into Tyler, I said hi you okay, he clearly wasn't and looked sick. And I kept going. I passed two more juniors, neither of which wanted to work. At the end of the second lap me and my motivational friend caught five other woman where I let her off and continued alone. I ran into one last rider, he decided to stick on my wheel but he was clearly out of energy. I saw the 1km sign and decided to try and give a small attack, and just when I got out of the saddle a throbbing cramp formed in my knee, so I went back and drafted him till the end of the last hill where I made my last attack and held him off and took my 7th place. So despite my chain error and chasing the whole time I myself am very pleased with how I did. And hey congratulations Shawn you were in a great position when you passed me on the road. Nice job.
