Andy was elected Team President of Tieni Duro in 2008. He became involved with the team when his son Alex joined in 2005. Andy is accountable to the team's Board of Directors, and as the team Chief Executive, he is responsible for the club's licenses, insurance, sponsor satisfaction, and taxes/accounting. He works with the coaching and management staff to develop long term strategies designed to help the organization expand and succeed in its' mission of growing the cycling community by getting as many kids onto bikes and training them how to ride and race effectively.
Andy is a life-long cyclist, and he still competes occasionally as a 55+ Master road racer. He rides nearly every Sunday training ride and many of the Wednesday night rides as well. He helps organize the mentors and also assists with the Health & Safety Program and many of the team's social activities. When not riding or racing, Andy enjoys family life and traveling.
Andy grew up in California and, after college, moved to the East Bay Area where he currently resides with his wife and children. He is a seasoned Silicon Valley Executive responsible for a large sales organization. As Team President, Andy benefits from management training, his gentle nature, fun-seeking spirit, and mellow disposition.
"My son and I have had so many fun, rewarding experiences with Tieni Duro" explains Andy. "It really has been meaningful for both of us to be a part of, with memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives."
