I got into cycling because of my dad and my brother. My brother used to
race a lot (against Tieni Duro) and my dad got him into biking. When my
brother would race, I would go to all his races and always aspired to
partake in racing. In the 8th grade I got my first bike, it was free,
and components would fall off unexpectedly, but it rolled. So I took
this bike just up Spruce, the steep hill near my house, and loved every
moment of it. With this inspiration I joined the Berkeley High Mountain
Bike Club, which would race and train all year round, this is what
inevitably brought me to Tieni Duro. After a season of racing my
brother suggest I start road riding, he recommended a team that might
help me out, possibly get me good at racing road as well, I looked into
it and it seemed like tons of fun, and a way to better my mountain
racing as well, also my team mate of Berkeley High, Andy, told me of
this team. This year I hope to help out Tieni Duro on the race course
and to many victories, both for the team, and if I'm luck, myself!
