I joined Tieni Duro after the Tam Hill Climb late in the summer. After being really impressed by the team’s performance, I looked around for other, closer to home junior programs. But Tieni Duro was definitely the best opportunity; so about two months ago I came out for my first ride.
I started out racing mountain bikes but became interested in road riding about a year ago, and since then have devoted myself entirely to the road. Aside from road racing I do a lot of work with Trips For Kids, which is a non-profit that takes kids from around the Bay Area on mountain bike trips. I go to school in San Francisco and, academically speaking, am particularly interested in the sciences and performing arts. Riding is my favorite thing to do and I am really looking forward to racing in the upcoming season. |
